Most couples talk about problems, tasks, and many other matters/conflicts as a normal part of their daily life. But, rarely do they set aside time to actually survey their marriage. Their are times in a marriage when you must check-in and discuss conversations of concern with your spouse, and to see how your marriage is doing. I call this a "Check The Thermostat Moment". At times the marriage could have been offset by its temperature, and this may cause a sickness in the marriage. When your barometer is off track because of the atmospheric pressure of your daily activity it can cause a problem in the relationship and marriage. Marriage can get stronger through the pressures of life, but the pressure has to be measured properly.
Example: A car can run good if it has all of its components (engine, starter, transmission, tires, and windows, etc.) The automobile represent the marriage, and the tires are the couples. A car can carry you from location to location, but your tires must have the proper pressure. Most passenger (couples) car's psi requirement will be between 30-35 psi, but several vehicles (marriages) fall outside of that range and every vehicle (marriage) will have specific requirements. Good tire (couple) air pressure ensures that tires (couples) wear evenly, provide a smooth ride, and increase fuel efficiency.
